Research Brief Reflection and Revision Prewrite
Complete this analysis of your Research Brief from your thesis defense. This assignment has two goals:
  1. To build your metacognition around your own writing skills
  2. To lead into writing goals that we will set at the start of next semester
  3. To give you a guide for the revisions/expansions as we write Research Brief Part 2 this week.

This is due at midnight tonight, but you should be able to finish in class.

Done with that? Begin writing/outlining Research Brief 2.0
The goal here is to revise and add to your previous research brief. This will be a Frankensteinian creation in which we add limbs and body parts to make your original brief a more perfect creation (although some of you will probably need to chuck the previous limbs in an incinerator and gather some new corpses).

Hello Seniors!

Welcome to winter! It's a lovely day to cozy up with coffee and/or books, and get some stuff done.

Here are your work priorities for today:

  1. Deep Reading Redos- See the linked list here for folks who have to redo. Remember, the redone sections get re-submitted to the assignment, and if you revise more than the required sections, you should leave me a comment saying which ones I should look at when I regrade. See my comments on the IC rubric for guidance, and come check in with me for further instruction! These are due no later than midnight Sunday, 12/7. For those of you on the borderline grade-wise, this resubmission could really help you!
  2. Annotated Bibliography Research- You need to find 5 NEW sources, then read them and complete annotated bibliography entries for them. This is due next Friday. Your goal for today should be to find, read, and complete an entry for at least one new source. Again, come see me if you have questions or need help finding sources!

As always, please consult with us for guidance and support, or if what you should be doing is not clear. Kyle is at the library, Lori is at Smiley, and Jessica, unfortunately, is stuck in her driveway. She is available via email, or you can talk to Lori for humanities help.

Drive safe, and we'll see you all soon!
