Week of Wellness

Welcome to our Week of Wellness for Osprey Week 2018.  During this week, we will be cultivating habits of wellness for our body and mind.  The goal of this week is to learn about various frameworks and theories of wellness, and to try many different strategies out so you can develop some wellness strategies that work for you!

We will be off campus every day, so please see the document linked below for relevant times and locations.

Schedule and Documents

Logistics and Transportation

  • Week of Wellness Schedule:  See this document for our daily schedule, as well as drop off and pick up times and locations.  This will be updated as locations are finalized.
  • Driver Permission Forms:  We must have these forms for all students riding with Lori and Erin to Pagosa Hot Springs on Tuesday.  Please make sure your student has turned them in to Lori!
  • Code of Conduct:  Students need to sign and give this to Lori and Erin.  Basically, don't do anything stupid and we'll be all good.  :)
  • Medication Self-Carry Form:  If you need to self-carry medication (inhaler, ibuprofen, allergy meds, etc.), then you and your parents need to fill this out and return it to the AHS main office.
  • Authorization to Administer Medication:   If you will need to take a controlled substance (antidepressants, anxiety medication, etc.), you must have this form completed and returned to the AHS main office.
LUNCH:  Students will be responsible for providing their own lunch every day.  They can bring a bag lunch, or buy a lunch at one of the many restaurants downtown.  The only exception to this is Wednesday, when we will be making healthy smoothies for ourselves for lunch.

CLOTHING:  Students should wear comfortable clothing, and should dress for the weather.  We will be doing physical activity every day, and will be outside walking every day.  Stretchy clothes, good shoes, and water are a must!

OTHER SUPPLIES:  On Monday and Friday, students should bring yoga mats with them if possible.  They can leave them in my car until it is time for our yoga class on those days.  Students should bring a journal of some type and a pen or pencil every day. Bring lots of water, especially on Thursday when we are hiking!

PICK-UP/DROP-OFF Locations and Times:  We will be meeting off campus all week.  Please see the schedule linked here for locations and times each day.  All locations will be in central Durango (Fairgrounds, Rec Center, AHS, or downtown).
