General Rubrics

• Senior Humanities Writing Rubric: This rubric will be used for all  writing assignments that go through the process of revision.
• HONORS Writing Rubric:  I will be using this rubric to grade your Honors Essays in the fall semester.

Argumentation

• Thesis Statement: Flipping the Question: See this for a strategy useful for timed writing and responding to specific prompts.
• Analysis Framework: See this for a framework that will help you expand your analysis for a more in-depth argument.

MLA Citations and Formatting

• MLA Sample Paper: See this for a paper written in MLA formatting that also explains how to do it.
• MLA in One Page:  A handy guide to MLA formatting and citations from Purdue OWL (scroll to page 2).
• MLA In Text Citations:  Lori's guide to in-text citations for the most common types of sources.
• MLA Exceptions:  Weird cases where in-text citations are different (block quotes, and quoting a quote).
• Citation Machine: If you're going to use a citation generator, this is one I recommend!
