​Here are your work priorities for today.  I will be conferencing with everyone on Thursday and Friday, and checking in on your progress.  If you do not have ALL the priorities complete at the time of our conference, I will be emailing home to inform your parents of my concerns at your lack of progress. If you were on the study hall list (you got an email) and do not attend today, that will also go in my email.

WRITING PRIORITIES: By the Start of Class THURSDAY, I have…

1. Completed the starter on paraphrasing in academic writing
2. Scheduled my SPAM 2 meeting for this week (it is due Friday at 3:30- SPAM 2 forms are on the table under the window!)
3. Completed a RD of Parts 1 and 2 of your Senior Thesis.
4. Completed at least 1 paragraph of Part 3 of your Senior Thesis (more is better!)

So far the outlines I've looked at have been pretty good- they've been informative, and people are doing a good job of matching their research questions, thesis statements, and arguments in part 3. I should be able to finish giving feedback to the outlines I have received today, so keep an eye out for that- my feedback can inform your rough draft.

I've gotten a number of questions about formatting.  We will review the formatting requirements for your thesis next week, but if you really want to jump start it just google search MLA formatting, and you'll get the basics.

Email me with questions today, and USE YOUR TIME WISELY!  No sleeping on the library floor!  Put your phones away!  Time to focus.
