2.1- Cohort Check In + Goal Setting

4/22/2024

Slides for Today

SERIOUS FACE WARNINGS, re: Attendance
  1. You must be ON CAMPUS and IN THE CLASSROOM unless you have received specific permission from your cohort leader that day for a specific reason.
  2. All off campus activities should be scheduled for 5th and 6th, or Weds mornings, as much as possible.
  3. Consider this your last warning- the next step is emails home and revoking your off campus Weds and afternoon time.
  4. 4 absences = no graduate. Some of you are climbing towards this already. If you leave early, we change your attendance to an absence.

Exhibition

Time to really start thinking about this!  At the end of this week, I’ll want this to be a part of our conferences- what is your plan for Exhibition?

Conference Check Ins
As a group discussion the following questions:
  • Check In- How is everyone doing?
  • Excitement- What are you most excited about right now related to your action projects? What went well last week?
  • Learning- What’s one thing you learned last week?  This could be a concrete skill, a time management strategy, something academic…anything!
  • Struggles- What are you struggling with?  Offer ideas to help your group members!
  • Critiques- Who are we doing a project tune, dilemma protocol or critique with this week? What do they need to bring in or share with the group in order to have a successful and helpful critique?
  • If your group is doing a separate exhibition…discuss what that looks like, make a list of what needs to be done, and assign tasks to individuals.

To Do Lists
  1. Go onto your to-do list document (make sure it is shared with your cohort leader!)
  2. Update your lists for this week- perhaps look back at the notes from your conference with your cohort leader!
  3. Make sure you have ample documentation (pictures, notes, screenshots, emails, links) for what you accomplished last week.

Work Time
Make progress! Do the things!
