Annotated Bibliography and Elements of your Thesis

Annotated Bibliography Purpose
See the Senior Project page for the full assignment handout.  We do the annotated bibliography for 3 main reasons:

1. To expand your research into new sources and new types of sources
2. To analyze sources with an eye towards how they'll fit together in your paper
3. To get ready to outline and write, and to make this process easier

Possible Sources for your Annotated Bibliography:

1. Any of the articles you used for your Deep Reading assignment
2. Newspaper/magazine articles
3. Books
4. Documentaries/TV Series 
5. Interviews
6. Survey Data
7. Data from your own scientific experiment
8. Websites (be careful here!  No blogs!  No crappy websites or Wikipedia!  If in doubt, ask me!)

Elements Handout
Review this handout (linked on the Senior Project page of my DP) carefully.  It gives you a roadmap for where we're eventually headed, and you can start to think about where certain sources or bits of certain sources can fit into the structure of your argument.

HOMEWORK

• Annotated Bibliography:  5 completed sources due on Tuesday, 18, at the Start of Class.  Yes, you will need to work over your 4-day weekend.
