Annotated Bibliography- Day 4

1/9/2024

Announcements
  1. Off Campus Work on WEDNESDAY next week- Smiley Cafe or Durango Public Library. Be there at 9:30am, plan on being released at 12:00.  This is a big chunk of work time, so bring what you need to be productive.  Need to print things?  Do it on Tuesday!
  2. GripTape Applications HERE. Submit anytime in January.  If they ask how you heard about it, please say Teagan Archer.
  3. FAFSA Night- January 23!  4:30-8:00.  Let Erin CR and Elliot help you navigate this crucial form!
  4. Honors Folks- Let me know if you want to drop it if you were in it last semester, or if you want in this semester.  I need to know by the end of the day on Friday!  Please send an email to Lori and Grayson if you want to be IN, or you want to be OUT.  This semester you must read a book (or most of a book) related to your thesis topic, and your thesis will be graded on a more difficult rubric.  You may also be required to do some additional peer critiques for others. So far all I have are emails from  Zoell, Illyria, Bella O., Shea, Maddie, and Hanna. Want in or out?  Email me TODAY.

Starter 3: New Argument/Ideas
Think back to before the snow day, long ago though it was, to the latest research you came across.
  1. What was a new point, argument, or piece of evidence that you came across?
  2. How does that change your thesis argument?
  3. How does this change your direction for your research today?

Class Work Goals: By the START of class on WEDNESDAY, I have…
  1. CHANGE: 5 sources will be due at MIDNIGHT tonight.
  2. Completed Annotated Bibliography Notes for FIVE sources, and SHARED with Lori or Grayson for formative feedback.
  3. Found another source
  4. Original Research: At least 6 interviews scheduled, 2-3 interviews complete. Surveys- have finalized and distributed surveys to multiple groups, have scheduled a meeting with Kyle to analyze survey data and results.
