Exhibition Week!  YIKES!

11/27/2017

SENIOR SCHEDULE CHANGE: From now until further notice, your schedule is as follows.
  1. 3rd:  All Seniors meet in Lori's room for instructions and check ins.
  2. 4th and 5th :  Mandatory work time to work on your project.  This must be done in Lori's room, Kyle's room, or the Commons.  Our rooms will be open 6th period as well.
  3. Wednesdays:  2nd all meet in Lori's room before splitting into project groups  for 3rd and 4th.

DEADLINES AND BENCHMARKS:
  1. Project Managers, Coordinators, and Marketing Meeting- 5th period, Kyle's room
  2. EXHIBITION- THURSDAY, 11/30, 5:00-8:00pm, Fairgrounds.

Weekly Goals:
  1. Run Through- Each group should do a complete run-through on Tuesday, complete with an audience.  You should set up as close to your exhibition setup as possible.  Please schedule these at different times so that Kyle and I can attend.
  2. Logistics- We need an overview of how the logistics of this exhibition will work.  I suggest creating a document with the exhibition flow (and a map?), a timeline for each group (by the minute), scripts, schedule (with RSVPs) and exhibition roles for me to link to on my DP.
  3. Marketing- Get posters up.  Get invites out.  Start gathering RSVPs and times.
  4. Editing- All written elements will go through editors this week!  Be nice to your editor, and get them your stuff early.
  5. Printing- Any visual elements that need printing (on school printers or plotter) should be done by lunch on Wednesday.  If you need the plotter, talk to Dusty TODAY to schedule a time with him to print.  Make sure the editor sees anything that is printed if it has words on it!
  6. Artist Statements- We will be doing critiques of Artist Statements for the art group on Tuesday.  Art group, you will need THREE printed copies of your artist statements for critique.  Artist statements must include the following elements, and should be at LEAST two solid paragraphs:
    1. Explanation of you piece, including the message, and the symbolism of elements in your piece.
    2. Discussion of the research you did (yeah, you should probably quote some of it...this is where those research notes can come in handy!) that informed the design and message of your piece

Exhibition Setup
On THURSDAY, we will meet here during 3rd to gather our materials and put everything into cars- then we will head to the Fairgrounds to setup during 4th and 5th.  We will allow a lunch break at the normally scheduled time.

HOMEWORK
From now until Exhibition, your homework should be whatever you need to do to complete a refined and amazing project.
