1. Revised Research Question + Research Part 2 (Interview Notes + 3 more sources). DUE: Wednesday, 11/1, Start of Class (9:25 AM). Google Classroom.

Announcements

1. Seminar Response Revisions- For me to regrade these, you must HIGHLIGHT and COMMENT on things you revised.  These do not need to be long comments, but they should indicate what you did in your revisions. This helps the re-grading process be more efficient.  We will not regrade resubmissions without this. 
   
2. Letters of Rec- I will not write you a letter until you ask me personally, and send me the required information.  If you’re on my list and have not talked to me…better do it quick.
   
3. Library Cards- You NEED to get some library cards in order to start thesis research next week.  Here are the three I suggest:
   
   1. Denver Public Library E-Card- register online for this- it will give you access to online research databases.
      
   2. Durango Public Library Card- Go to the library with a photo ID/proof of address
      
   3. Fort Lewis Reed Library- If you are over 18, go get a library card here too! You need a photo ID and proof of address.
      

Starter 13
When we ask for “context” in an introduction, what do you think we are asking for?  What type of information makes sense to put in an introduction to effectively lead into your thesis?  Make a list of AT LEAST 3-5 things (more is better!)

Outline Order
When you write your outline, I suggest doing it in the following order:

1. Confrontation
   
2. Resolution
   
3. Exposition
   

Generally, writing the argument first, then your conclusions, and finally the introduction makes the most sense.  That way you know what context you NEED to set up your argument. This holds true for your senior thesis as well.

Storytelling With Data
Goal for Today = Finish the outline that is due tomorrow morning before class.  If you finish during class, please conference with Grayson or Lori to get your outline approved, then start writing!
