Our Rationale about the next assignment! This is actually a really key piece- it requires you to engage and interact with your sources at a deeper level, and it's something that former seniors have found hugely helpful once they enter into the writing process. If you do this well, you should have some pieces of analysis and evidence that you can pop right into your thesis when you are drafting. This is also a task that is key to academic research, and is likely something you are going to have to do at some point in college- I've talked to a number of alumni who have had to do this in college. As far as the number of sources, the more research you do, the more you know. Remember-- the goal of a writing assignment is the RESEARCH, not the actual writing. The downfall of much non-fiction writing is not having done enough research. Annotated Bibliography
