Day 3- Thesis Critiques

DUE DATES- ON TIME​​​​​

1. SPAM 3 Form. DUE: Tuesday, 4/4 by 3:30 PM.
2. FINAL DRAFT of Senior Thesis. DUE: Monday, 4/10, Start of Class.  MUST BE PRINTED, as well as turned in on Google Classroom.

1. RD Thesis. Last Day to Turn In: Friday, 3/31, start of class.

Announcements:

1. THESIS FINAL DRAFT- Due at START OF CLASS, Monday April 10, 2023
2. SPAM 3 Forms- Are on the table under the window.  They are due by 3:30 Tuesday, 4/4.  Don’t forget to do the reflection on the back!!!
3. WEDNESDAY- ON CAMPUS for critiques this week. 
4. Writing Tutoring Opportunities- Today and tomorrow, 5th and 6th, in Kat’s room.

Cohort Groups Start TOMORROW!
Everyone meet in LORI’S room at the start of 3rd period- we will review cohorts and expectations, then split into separate cohorts. 

Starter: Thesis Rubrics

• Honors Senior Thesis Rubric
• Senior Thesis Rubric (non-honors)

Read carefully over the rubric for your senior thesis.  Then answer the following questions:

1. Which of the major categories are you feeling most confident about?  Why?
2. Which of these categories needs the most revision?  Explain.
3. Based on what you’ve read here, what are the top three specific revisions you need to make to your thesis?

Need additional one-on-one help with specific thesis revisions?  Schedule a meeting with Lori for next week during 5th and 6th, or during the morning on Wednesday!

Thesis Critiques

1. Get into your critique group
2. Complete the critiques you had scheduled for today
   1. Read and comment on their drafts
   2. Run the discussion protocol
   3. Repeat (if necessary)

Done with Critiques?  You could…

1. Read and comment on the papers you are critiquing tomorrow
2. Start the revision process on your own thesis, using the priorities Lori handed out
